These beautiful antelopes are almost extinct in the wild, but thanks to hunting ranches in Texas, they are now being reintroduced to their native lands in Africa. Although you will often see a large herd of 15-20 Scimitar roaming the ranch, the lone bulls are what you are really looking for, with many of these amazing bulls reaching over 40″ on their horns.
Scimitar, although hunted for their beauty as a trophy, are also one of the most delicious game meats around. Ancient Egyptians even raised Scimitar as a prized meat for the Pharaohs.
