The Blackbuck Antelope is always a prize. These animals, also known as Indian antelope, although not the largest on the ranch, can certainly establish their dominance of an area. They will push off Red Stag, Wildebeest and Zebra from a feeder! With horns as long as 29 inches and year-round hunting, El Papalote Ranch is one of the best ranches for blackbuck hunts in Texas.
The blackbuck males have typically a dark coat that covers the top of their body like a coat thrown over your shoulders with the females having a lighter, tan coloring. Blackbuck thrive in our South Texas environment and have established themselves in wild areas of Texas open country as well.
Blackbuck can be hunted year round at El Papalote Ranch.
